John Dalli, Esq. is a founding member of Dalli & Marino, LLP, and has been litigating and trying complex personal injury and medical malpractice matters in New York City, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Nassau County, Suffolk County and Westchester since 1996.

Since 2007 Mr. Dalli has focused on the prosecution and trial of elder abuse and nursing home negligence matters. Specifically, Mr. Dalli has tried cases concerning the failure of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals to provide resident care consistent with state and federal regulations.

Mr. Dalli has handled hundreds of cases involving elderly residents of nursing homes who suffer injuries such as falls, pressure ulcers, dehydration, medication errors and sexual abuse. As a result he has gained particular expertise in navigating these highly sensitive matters resulting in numerous successful verdicts and settlements.

Mr. Dalli has also successfully represented the families of brain-damaged infants due to negligent medical care as well as construction workers injured in work place accidents.

Mr. Dalli is an active member of the Columbian Lawyers Association as well as the New York City Bar Association and has spoken on the topic of nursing home negligence and elder care abuse to numerous groups.

Mr. Dalli is an appointed member of the following State Bar Association Task Forces:

  • New York State Bar Association Nursing Home Covid-19 Task Force
    The mission of the Task Force is to systematically review the statutory and regulatory framework under which nursing homes and long-term care operate in New York State and shall examine the legal effects of the COVID-19 crisis on the operations of such facilities. The Task Force will make recommendations for change to applicable statutes and regulations where needed.
  • New York State Bar Association Elder Law and Special Needs Task Force- Legislative Committee
    The mission of the Task Force is to review and make recommendations with respect to legislation meant to improve the lives of residents in all types of skilled nursing and long term care facilities.
  • New York State Bar Association Covid-19 Immunity Task Force
    The mission of the Task Force is to report on the impact of the New York State Immunity laws protecting nursing homes from legal liability and it’s impact on resident care.
  • New York State Trial Lawyers Association- Co-Chair of the Nursing Home Committee
    The mission of the NYSTLA Nursing Home Committee is to report on the current trends with regard to Nursing Home Litigation from the perspective of the residents; advocate for resident’s rights and make recommendations and proposals for laws to protect the elderly.
